Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School

About the Role: We are seeking a committed and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join our vibrant secondary school in Havering. As a key member of our pastoral team, you will work closely with students who require additional support to manage their behaviour, develop positive relationships, and engage fully with their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring sessions to support students' social, emotional, and behavioural development.

  • Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students, acting as a role model and mentor.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to create a nurturing and inclusive school environment.

  • Monitor and track students' progress, providing regular feedback and adapting support plans as necessary.

  • Support the delivery of interventions and workshops aimed at improving students' emotional well-being and resilience.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting.

  • A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students with behavioural challenges.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

  • Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, counselling, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
