Quantity Surveyor Housebuilding (Home Counties Projects)

We are currently recruiting for an experiencedQuantity Surveyor to join a prestigious London-based developer. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in large-scale housebuilding projects, including up to 300-400 units per year, with potential involvement in a major 1000 unit scheme in Brighton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Housebuilding Focus: Manage the cost control, valuations, and progress of housebuilding projects (low-rise developments).
  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee and manage relationships with subcontractors, ensuring efficient delivery of works.
  • Cost Planning: Assist with some cost planning to ensure financial control and profitability.
  • Autonomy & Project Oversight: Work across the full project lifecycle from start to finish with a high level of autonomy.

About You:

  • Experience: Proven experience in housebuilding, particularly managing costs and subcontracts on large-scale developments (ideally 300-400 units per year).
  • Demonstrated Expertise: Experience in managing the housebuilding side of projects and working closely with subcontractors is essential.
  • Desire for Stability: Ideal for someone looking to help building a housing division within a reputable developer - experience in housing is key.
