Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy

Location: Havering

Working Hours : 37.5hours

Position Summary:

  • We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Pediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat children with a range of speech, language, and communication difficulties, providing support to children, families, and caregivers. This role will include working with children who have developmental, neurological, and learning-based communication disorders.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) in children aged 0-18, using standardized tests, observations, and informal evaluations.
    • Treatment and Intervention: Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child’s needs, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote communication and language development.
    • Family and Caregiver Support: Provide guidance, resources, and training to families and caregivers to support therapy goals outside of clinical sessions.
    • Collaboration and Consultation: Work collaboratively with other professionals (teachers, psychologists, occupational therapists, etc.) to provide a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.
    • Progress Monitoring and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other documentation required for each client.
