A prominent housing association in the South East of England has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Consultant to lead their team for an initial period of 4 -6 Months in an Outside of IR35 role.

This housing association is at the heart of its community, providing safe, affordable homes for their tenants. They strive to deliver a high quality service at all times, putting their customers at the forefront of their strategic aims.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing the whole of procurement and contract processes and lead on driving suggestions / improvements
  • Ensure that procurement regulations and changes are reviewed and make sure the organisation is compliant
  • Provide advice and negotiating experience to help various department and ensure procedures and regulations are followed
  • Review monthly dashboard reporting of contract register and report to senior management on findings
  • Manage a small team and create a strong working partnership

Requirements:

  • Experienced procurement professional with ability to review procedures and maintain BAU
  • Experience of Social Housing sought after or if not, Local Authority / Private Property
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage and liaise with various stakeholders
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Insurance knowledge a bonus but not essential
