We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Sports to join a supportive and forward-thinking college. This role involves 36 hours per week, comprising 23 hours of teaching and 13 hours of desk duties, from Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering BTEC Level 1-3 Sports and BTEC Level 2-3 Public Services courses.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions in BTEC Level 1-3 Sports and BTEC Level 2-3 Public Services.
  • Prepare lesson plans and materials based on the curriculum and educational standards.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in curriculum development activities to enhance the course offerings.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
  • Support students in their academic and personal development.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational methods and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of teaching experience in BTEC Level 1-3 Sports and BTEC Level 2-3 Public Services.
  • A valid teaching qualification (e.g., Certificate in Education or equivalent).
  • Recent experience in Behaviour & Discipline, Responding to Emergency Incidences, and Fitness units.
  • Proven track record of working in a College or Further Education (FE) College environment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
