Chilworth Partnership are delighted to be retained by a rapidly growing Services business, based on the outskirts of Southampton, who look set to treble revenue in the next 2-3 years. As part of this anticipated growth, the business are searching for a Head of Finance to assist with the long term business plan and implement strategy. Reporting to the Co-Founders, responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement company strategy, including the implementation and preparation of rolling forecasts, budgets and long-range strategic plans.
  • Structure the finance department for business growth, be able to identify new efficiencies and guide efforts towards improved reporting.
  • Production of management accounts including journal postings, variance analysis and associated commentary.
  • Work with external accountants and ensure statutory requirements are met.
  • Support M&A activities through acquisition modelling, due diligence and integration support where necessary.
  • Monitor and manage cash balances, cashflow forecasting and invoice discounting.
  • Develop strategies to increase company profitability and value.
You will:
  • Be a fully qualified Accountant holding ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Have experience of being in a hands on, leadership role within an SME environment.
  • Feel comfortable implementing processes, controls and automation from scratch, enabling sustained business growth. 
  • Have experience of recruiting and managing a small team.
  • Have extensive experience of influencing and challenging leadership teams, useful financial data to support arguments. 
  • Have experience of Xero - desirable, not essential.
