This is a full-time post, lasting 3 months initially, based in Ross on Wye and the pay rate is Ā£41.42 umbrella.

There are also accommodation expenses available up to Ā£150 per week.

Details of the role:

  • We need a qualified and experienced childrenā€™s social work manager to manage one of five social work teams, undertakingĀ Safeguarding & Support work.Ā 
  • You will be experienced in child in need and child protection work, PLO pre-proceedings, care proceedings and adoption work.
  • You will manage a team of social workers and family support workers with input from a Managing Practitioner within our new locality structure.Ā 
  • You will work effectively as part of a service management team, committed to embedding good practice, with a focus on relationship based and restorative practice.

  • This position will be based in our southern region, with the Ryefield Centre in Ross-on-Wye serving as the primary hub. Requirements of the role:

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Fully Social Work England registered
  • Must have strong post-qualified experience in childrenā€™s social care
  • You will be experienced in child in need and child protection work, PLO pre-proceedings, care proceedings and adoption work.
  • Must be an experienced manager
  • You will be committed to providing the highest quality of supervision and case direction, focussing at all times on improving outcomes for children.Ā 
  • You will be organised and a strong communicator and decision-maker.Ā
