Youth Worker in Children's home
Location: Rossendale
Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Worker to join our SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) children's education home in BB4, Rossendale. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

As an Inclusion Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them engage with their education in a positive and productive manner. You will provide tailored support to students on a 1:1 or small group basis, working alongside teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH needs, ensuring their engagement and participation in school activities.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individualised learning plans.
  • Assist with managing behaviour and promoting positive social interactions.
  • Provide emotional support to students, helping them build confidence and resilience.
  • Monitor and track student progress and well-being, providing feedback to staff and parents.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH or other learning difficulties is preferred.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication skills, both with students and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and constructive manner.
  • A commitment to making a positive impact on students' emotional and academic development.
