Platform Engineer - AWS/Scripting/Terraform

I’m supporting a growing SaaS business, as they look to add a talented platform engineer to the team, as they grow their DevOps capability. Working alongside a growing team of engineers, you’ll be working on the continuous development of a cloud based solution that integrates the consumer with industry leading hardware. You’ll be working on automating cloud based services as the business look to migrate to a microservices architecture. You’ll bring expertise in all things AWS, leading, defining and supporting the AWS platform, to include the management and maintenance of RDS. Strong scripting experience (TypeScript/Pyton/Powershell eg) and the ability to automate the delivery of IaC, using Terraform, will also be important. The business are transitioning to an automation 1st approach and this role is crucial in the execution of that strategy. The business are working on improving their pace of delivery and are transitioning to a more mature adoption of Agile, and so a solid grasp of the framework will be important. The role will need on site presence in Rossendale, 1 to 2 days a week and is paying £55-65,000.
