What You’ll Do

The Senior Clinical Nurse Lead role at Nurseplus is a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care within domiciliary and live-in care services. The postholder will oversee clinical governance, support care teams, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires a professional with strong leadership skills, a commitment to excellence, and extensive experience in healthcare management.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain a valid NMC registration and stay up to date with the latest clinical practices and regulatory guidelines relevant to domiciliary care.

- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, including GPs and other NHS services, to ensure the overall well-being of clients receiving care at home.

- Ensure all Nurseplus policies and procedures are adhered to, working with the Registered Manager and Health & Safety officers to amend policies as necessary for domiciliary care.

- Stay up to date with UK legislation and standards, including MCA, DoLS, and ensure compliance with regulations impacting home care services.

- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures in line with current regulations and best practices.

- Conduct clinical risk assessments and ensure risk management strategies are effectively implemented.

- Provide clinical leadership and support to care teams, ensuring safe and effective delivery of care.

- Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes, addressing areas for improvement promptly.

- Lead on safeguarding concerns and liaise with relevant authorities when necessary.

- Ensure services comply with the standards set by regulatory bodies (e.g., CQC in the UK).

- Complete clinical audits, prepare for and manage inspections, audits, and quality reviews.

- Conduct clinical assessments of new clients to develop tailored care plans.

- Act as a point of escalation for complex cases, providing expert advice and guidance.

- Contribute to business development initiatives by supporting the creation of new services and packages.

Key Requirements

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (NMC registration or equivalent for your region).
  • Relevant healthcare management qualification (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care).

Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar role within domiciliary or live-in care.
  • Strong background in clinical management, including risk management and safeguarding.
