Overview:

We are seeking an experiencedQuality ManagerorQuality Engineerwith ametallurgy backgroundto join a leading manufacturing company. This role will be integral in ensuring the highest quality standards in the production of metal components, with a particular focus on aerospace manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a similar quality management role, with the ability to manage a small team and drive improvements within the quality assurance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the quality control processes for metal products, ensuring compliance with industry standards, includingAS9100and other.
  • Oversee and mentor a small team of quality engineers and inspectors, providing guidance on day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) to ensure adherence to quality standards, improving efficiency and reducing defects.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformances, ensuring continuous improvement of processes and product quality.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards and customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure consistent product performance.
  • Manage customer complaints and quality feedback, leading investigations and resolutions in a timely and professional manner.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Education:Degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of3-5 years of experiencein aquality managementorquality engineeringrole withinmanufacturing, with a strong focus on metals.
  • Previous experience in theaerospace industryor working withaerospace-grade metalsis highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing asmall teamand driving continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge ofmetallurgical processesandmetal testingtechniques (e.g., tensile testing, hardness testing, NDT).
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, such asISO 9001,AS9100, and other aerospace-related standards.
  • Proven ability to performroot cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and manage audits.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
