About the Role:

Our client is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Personal Development Coordinator to design and deliver an engaging programme of personal development activities. You will work closely with students to enhance their learning experience, build employability skills, and improve life chances. This role requires excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external organisations to create enriching opportunities for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate a wide range of personal development activities and events for students.
  • Organise and deliver workshops that equip students with essential life skills.
  • Build strong relationships with external organisations to bring in guest speakers and additional learning opportunities.
  • Lead student voice initiatives, ensuring learners have a say in shaping their educational experience.
  • Support cross-college enrichment activities focusing on health, wellbeing, and learning opportunities.
  • Oversee and support the Students' Union Team in developing clubs and societies.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to Health & Safety regulations, including conducting effective risk assessments.
  • React swiftly to local and national trends, providing students with awareness and discussion opportunities on key topics.
  • Facilitate focus groups to gain student input on services and activities.
  • Organise competitions, events, and initiatives that celebrate student achievements.
  • Work across multiple campuses as needed to share best practices and support key events.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience working in an educational setting or a support/counseling/mentoring role.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience in event planning and delivery.
  • Ability to engage and inspire young people through workshops and activities.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, equality & diversity, and data protection policies.
  • A proactive and approachable individual with a passion for student development.
  • A Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • A First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
