About the Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity for both graduates and experienced Electronics Test Technicians to gain hands-on experience in a production environment. The successful candidate will work as part of a team, reporting to the Production Manager, to inspect, test, fault-find, and repair electronic assemblies to meet weekly production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Bench testing of electronic assemblies using customer test documentation and rigs.
- Inspect, diagnose, and fault-find electronic components and assemblies to component level.
- Carry out functional testing and repair of assemblies as required.
- Use test equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
- Interpret and work from circuit diagrams, test specifications, technical drawings, and procedures.
- Ensure all testing and repairs are carried out in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure efficient workflow and meet production deadlines.
Requirements
- Practical hands-on experience in fault-finding electronics to component level.
- Ability to use voltmeters, ammeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic testing equipment.
- Strong understanding of circuit diagrams, test specifications, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of electronic components and assembly techniques.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Qualification in Electronics or a related field (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent).
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in electronics manufacturing or production.
- Experience working in a high-volume production environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards and compliance regulations.
