Our client, a leading distribution company based in Yorkshire, is seeking a proactive Warehouse Team Manager to oversee operations during the weekend + 3 additional days through the week.
The Role:
As the Warehouse Team Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the distribution centre during the late shift. Key duties include managing a dynamic team, ensuring KPIs are met, and maintaining high standards of health & safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the team, ensuring effective performance and staff engagement.
- Monitor and report on operational KPIs, focusing on productivity, quality, and safety.
- Coordinate with other shift managers to ensure seamless transitions between shifts.
- Manage resources effectively, including staffing, equipment, and stock levels.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and customer service.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in a warehousing environment, as team leader, supervisor or a shift manager.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
