White Label Recruitment are currently working exclusively with a bespoke engineering manufacturer based in supplying a vast range of industrial industries. This global company machines and manufactures mechanical engineered products into a vast array of industries. This family run business is going from strength to strength and came out of the pandemic stronger and more successful than before.

Due to continued growth and success, they have a brand new role they are now looking to fill for an UK Area Sales Engineer. The company is a true leader in their niche offering both the capabilities for machined PTFE & polymers. They are looking for someone who has experience in one of these fields to come in and really grow this part of the business, ideally selling into end user or OEMs for the likes of chemical, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, pumps and valves, transport. This role will involve selling to both Engineers and Procurement.

They already have very impressive customers and sales figures in this area, but someone to come in and really grow new business as well as managing some current accounts. This role will be home based but targeting the whole of the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of products and services
  • Quotations aligned within agreed product costing, margin, conversion, and service models
  • Support the development of commercially acceptable agreements
  • Promote new opportunities and improvements to client product portfolio and services
  • Recording and communication of customer service requirements, portfolio, plans and business strategies
  • Planning, coordination and recording of customer visits, reviews, and partnership meetings
  • Coordination and provision of customer technical training, support, and issue resolution
  • Development of effective customer communications strategies
  • Benchmarking, industry, competitors, pricing, and product developments
  • Marketing, support and plans for product placement and promotions
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge of applicable portfolios and services


The Person

  • Ideally have experience with machined PTFE
  • Have strong sales / business development skills with a proven track record
  • Ideally able to ready technical drawings
  • Ability to sell to both procurement and engineers on site
  • Have skills to develop account growth strategies and initiatives
  • Have good attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all areas of work.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally, face to face and over the phone
