Due to our continued growth and increasing workload, our Client is seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer to become a key member of our team.

Role for a CNC Setter/Operator/ Programmer Overview:

In this critical role as a CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer, you will ensure the smooth production of high-quality components. You will multitask by setting up and operating multiple machines while maintaining precise tooling and inspection records.

Primary Machines:

  • HAAS Lathe Y-Axis with Live Tooling (DS30Y & ST40)

Secondary Machines (Support Role):

  • HAAS Mills (EC400, VF4SS & UMC1000SS)

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8am - 5pm
  • Friday: 8am - 1pm
  • Total: 39 hours per week

Key Responsibilities for a CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer:

  • Set, program, and operate HAAS machines.
  • Work to tight tolerances and manufacture according to customer drawings.
  • Ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) completion of work orders.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to 5S and COSHH standards.
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks on all tools and equipment.
  • Update and implement job setup sheets.
  • Collaborate with the production manager and quality team to resolve production and machine issues.

Candidate for CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing machine shop.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Commitment to lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • CAM experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
