We are a leading company based in Rotherham, specialising in the stripping and refurbishment of hydraulic rams. We take pride in delivering high-quality services and are now seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Manual Machinist to join our growing team.
Role Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in manual machining, including honing, turning, and milling. You will receive hands-on training in various machining processes, working with a team of experienced machinists. Your role will be essential to the production of precision parts used in hydraulic ram refurbishment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and operate manual honing, turning, and milling machines
- Assist with the machining of components to high standards of precision
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications with guidance
- Perform basic maintenance and checks on machinery
- Ensure parts meet quality control standards and specifications
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Work closely with experienced team members to develop your machining skills
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- A strong desire to learn and develop skills in manual machining
- Basic understanding of machining processes (training will be provided)
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- A proactive and hardworking mindset
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently
- Previous experience in a machining environment would be advantageous but not essential
