Job Title: Technician in Construction Skills

GI Group are now seeking to appoint a Technician in Construction Skills to our client based in Rotherham. The Technician in Construction Skills will help and support the Construction facilities within a busy college.
Main Duties of the Technician in Construction Skills:
- Provide support to staff and students in workshop sessions. You would be working within the Bricklaying, Carpentry and Joinery, Electrical Installations and Plumbing and Heating programmes
- Prepare and set out equipment and materials as directed
- Provide safety cover during practical classes
- Assist in the construction of apparatus and preparation of materials for use in classes
- Cleaning and tidying workshops and practical areas
Role Requirements:
- Experience of working in the construction industry
- Level 2 vocationally relevant qualification
- Good trade skills
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety issues
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
