About the roleIn this dynamic role you will create and deliver an exciting programme of personal developmentevents and activities for our students. The purpose of this role is to promote, support andorganise learner activities which will enhance the learning experience to help build skills foremployability and improve their life chances. This role will require excellent interpersonal andorganisational skills. You will work with learners to understand their needs in relation to anyknowledge gaps and work with leaders to deliver against our strategic objectives.
Main Duties? Create a programme of personal development activities, available to all learners? Organise, coordinate and deliver events to develop the essential life and personal skills ofstudents.? Work with learners to understand key topics? Build effective partnerships with external organisations, who will provide guest speakerdelivery? Lead on learner voice activity? Co-ordinate cross-college enrichment activities including health, wellbeing and learningopportunities
Role Objectives? As a team you will work together to create a consistent personal development offer acrossthe group? Network, collaborate, and build relationships with external organisations and stakeholders tofacilitate student led activities, to deliver specific activity such as road safety, sexual health,motivation/ growth mindset etc? As an individual you will work with colleagues in curriculum and student support to identifyneeds specific for individual campus or groups? To provide opportunities for students to develop their Cultural Capital through engagementwith a range of activities both on and off college site? To develop relationships with key curriculum staff to ensure that positive behaviours aredeveloped throughout all college campuses? To lead on organising and overseeing the Students’ Union Team, ensuring they are engagedin developing clubs and societies influenced by the learners’ voice.? Ensure that all events and activities, both onsite and offsite meet Health and Safety? requirements including the coordination of effective risk assessments.? React to local and national trends and risks, to swiftly put out awareness information andwhere appropriate hold student discussions around key topics.? Provide focus groups for students seeking their input, advice, and involvement for the furtherdesign of student services activities? To engage students in activities that will enable the student(s) to extend their personal andemployability skills.? Organise initiatives and events that recognise and celebrate the successes and achievementsof students? Work in a trauma informed way, that supports connection and builds a psychologically safeenvironment for learners.? To organise leagues, tournaments, competitions and college events, with effective monitoringand reporting.
? Attend and contribute to learner reviews and interviews and give feedback to relevant staff.? Work at alternative campuses to support events, share best practice and provide coveras required. This may be on a temporary or long-term basis.

To be able to handle sensitive issues and challenging behaviour as it arises, with collaborativesupport from others where required.?
