Architectural Assistant - United Kingdom

Competitive Salary DOE + 1 Year FTC

Our client is a well-established contractor with a robust nationwide presence across Construction, Architectural, and Engineering services known for delivering high-quality projects on time and within the budget. Due to continued growth, our client is now looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Architectural Assistant with a passion for transforming office spaces and creating innovative showroom environments leading the design and delivery of retrofit and fit-out projects, combining creative vision with technical expertise to produce functional, sustainable, and aesthetic spaces.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Assist in developing conceptual and detailed designs and drawings for office retrofit and showroom fit out/ renovation projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and specifications.

  • Oversee projects from inception to completion, including conducting site visits to monitor progress and ensure issues are addressed promptly.

  • Work closely with structural engineers, mechanical & electrical engineers, specialists, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure all team members are aligned with project objectives and responsibilities.

  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and tender packages that comply with building regulations and CDM.

  • Provide regular progress reports, detailing, schedules, and documentations to relevant senior management and the clients, including updates on project status.

  • RIBA part II, with 2 years proven accomplishments in an architectural office preferably with showroom and existing office renovation projects background.

  • Proficiency in design software including BIM, Adobe, AutoCAD, Revit and other relevant design software and tools.

  • In-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning processes, and sustainable building practices.

  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client presentations and stakeholder engagement.

  • Creative thinker with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Promote a safety-first culture on-site and ensure that risk assessments and method statements are followed and confirm that all site activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
