Finance Manager/Management Accountant | Wath Upon Dearne | Up to £55k | Office Based | Professional Services Finance Manager/Management Accountant Due to continued growth, our client is urgently seeking to appoint a high calibre and experienced Finance Manager/Management Accountant to join them. Ideally, you will have a 1-month or less notice period and are able to interview ASAP.  This is a full-time, on-site role located near Wath Upon Dearne and will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the business. This position involves the day-to-day management of a small team who oversee the entire finance process, & act as the face of finance to support business growth. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and possess strong leadership, management and organisational skills. This opportunity allows the correct candidate to join the team at an exciting time and join a supportive and collaborative work environment with ambitious growth plans.Responsibilities will include:
  • Production of weekly and monthly accounts with commentary and variance analysis.
  • Production of detailed reconciliations from system to system handling large volumes of data.
  • Prepare, summarise & distribute high volumes of financial data bringing the numbers to life for non-finance managers.
  • Have a detailed understanding of the transactional data making up the accounts.
  • Support the year-end process and annual audit.
  • Management and development of assistant management account and accounting apprentice.
Person specification:
  • The ideal candidate will have a finance background, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or QBE with experience in month end, cash flow management, forecasting and process assessment and implementation
  • Head office payroll (monthly/weekly)
  • Year end stat reporting
  • Strong analytical skills paired with commercial management expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Use of Sage 50 (or similar such as Xero)
  • Experience in a professional services industry is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
