Job Title: CMM Operative
Location: Rotherham
Salary: 29,150 per annum (Fully Trained)
Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm, Friday 5am - 1pm / 1pm - 9pm (Candidates must be open to night shifts)
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled CMM Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting precise measurement and analysis of patterns and castings, using advanced measurement equipment such as Faro and Hexagon scanning arms, as well as a Hexagon Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM). You will ensure accuracy, maintain operating procedures, and participate in key quality control activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate measurement and analysis for all patterns and castings.
- Operate and maintain one Faro scanning arm, one Hexagon scanning arm, and one Hexagon CMM.
- Conduct regular CMM accuracy checks and ensure operating procedures are followed.
- Carry out CMM inspections in line with quality standards.
- Participate in Non-Conformance Report (NCR) meetings to address any quality issues.
- Ensure that official routing is followed correctly at all times.
- Maintain the latest software versions and ensure proficient use of all CMM-related software.
- Safely operate overhead cranes and forklift trucks.
- Ensure adherence to high-quality standards and maintain accurate inspection records.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience operating Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM) is required.
- Familiarity with Faro and Hexagon scanning arms is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate measurements.
- Experience with CMM accuracy checks and inspection processes.
- Proficiency in using measurement software, with the ability to ensure it is up-to-date.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience in participating in quality control meetings (NCR).
- Forklift truck and overhead crane operation experience is preferred.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including night shifts.
Shift Pattern:
- Monday - Thursday: 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm
- Friday: 5am - 1pm / 1pm - 9pm
