About the Role:
This post is on an ongoing basis, with 3/4/5 days per week availability. Previous wards experience is required.
Hunter AHP is looking for an experienced MMT Pharmacy Technician to join a renowned NHS hospital in Leicester. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic pharmacy professional with previous hospital ward experience to make a meaningful impact in a busy NHS setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the medication management team (MMT) with the preparation and dispensing of medications.
- Carry out the checking and dispensing of medicines on the wards.
- Assist in the delivery of clinical pharmacy services to ensure safe, effective, and timely medication management.
- Support patients and healthcare professionals with medication queries and information.
- Perform stock control and inventory management within the pharmacy department.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Ensure all pharmacy procedures and protocols are adhered to.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working in NHS hospital wards.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Experience with medication management and dispensing in a hospital environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Knowledge of NHS systems and protocols.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritise tasks.
Desirable:
- Experience working in the MMT (Medicines Management Team) within a hospital setting.
