We are looking to recruit an inspiring Assistant Headteacher to help each student reach their full potential.

New Collaborative Learning Trust (NCLT) was created in 2015 by governors and senior leaders of New College Pontefract, an outstanding sixth-form college. Since then, the Trust has grown to include three sixth form colleges, three secondary schools and three primary schools.

Dinnington High School is proud to be part of NCLT, and we are a growing 11-18 Academy with a positive reputation at the heart of the local community.

We pride ourselves on knowing our students well and caring for them effectively while maintaining high standards and expectations so they can achieve their potential academically and personally to be the best they can be. We take staff well-being equally as seriously, valuing our greatest asset – our people.

The Assistant Headteacher will be joining a strong, dynamic senior leadership team, and we welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds and specialisms. Working as part of this team, you will contribute to and oversee all aspects of school leadership and management.

You will play a central role in helping to develop our school in line with our values and development plans. As a senior leader, you will model best practices, set high expectations and contribute to the strategic direction of the school.

The successful candidate will be resilient, with excellent communication skills and have a track record of providing inspiration and strategic thinking to achieve successful outcomes for students, staff and governors.

We encourage you to carefully review the job description and person specification in the recruitment pack. The specific area of responsibility will be shaped by the strengths of the successful candidate, so please consider how your expertise aligns with the role (specialism A / B).
