My Client a large global financial services brand is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Specialist on a initial 6 month contract basis. The role is inside IR35 and you can work remotely but would required on some office work aswel as travel. Must speak French.

  • To manage and deliver on all legal requirements and set goals from the Global Workplace Safety Manager and Director within France along with supporting and managing projects in Belgium and the Netherlands.
  • Need to be fluent in French and ideal if they can also speak Dutch but this is not a requirement. Need to be able to have the character to build strong working relationships with some challenging colleagues and a can do attitude, this is not a sit behind a laptop role. Requirements are to work with the Country Managers, Head of CEG and contacts, medical, fire/security team, facilities team and GWS colleagues.

Requirements within the first 6 months:

  • Produce a H&S policy and H&S management system for France and work with key stakeholders to implement.
  • Ensure any outstanding mandatory training is completed and colleagues/Leaders chased to ensure any outstanding actions are completed.
  • Update the intranet site and promote within the market including safety animations.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders
  • Attend the H&S committee meeting, working with the Country Manager to ensure that they are also engaged.
  • Ensure the Safety Prevention Plan and Document Unique (occupational risk assessment) are completed.

After that there will be requirements to support the Safety Prevention Officer delivering similar requirements in Benelux.
