Job Title: Safety Engineer
Duration : 3 Months (2-3 days per week)
Location: Fully Remote
Day Rate: £300 Outside IR35
Avanti Recruitment are seeking an experienced test engineer in the aerospace sector to work on the Development of a novel electric-hybrid propulsion system. Support will be required for the development through safety assessments, looking at the system architecture, design, and operation through driving and managing safety requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in safety-related systems development.
- Experience with ARP4754 and ARP4761, or similar industry standards.
- Experience of functional hazard analysis, fault tree analysis, and safety requirement management.
- Working knowledge of aircraft performance, control, and operations.
- Working knowledge of safety-critical systems, electronic hardware, and software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Passion for electrification of the aviation industry
Desirable Experience :
Special consideration will be given to experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Turbomachines integration, especially turboprops
- Electric motor and inverter systems, especially MW class
- High voltage DC power systems (800V)
- Fuel systems
- Safety-critical control systems
- Pilot interfaces
