Estates Officer - Site Surveying
Location:Travel required to sites within the Yorkshire and Central area. The role can be based either near Sheffield or Leeds. We are also recruiting this role at a Birmingham location and a Manchester location.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive Project Works Estates Officer / Assistant Site & Facilities Officer to support the estate management of land sites and the management and maintenance of owned infrastructureon sites across the Yorkshire area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage both planned and reactive maintenance projects, ensuring efficient site functioning in a fast-paced environment.

Working closely with the Estates Manager, and supporting Project Managers in the project delivery of development sites, key duties will include:

  • Regular site inspections, including but not limited to health & safety visits, boundary surveys, insurance inspections, EA permit requirements
  • Record inspections on the system and take action according to risks identified, putting measures in place to mitigate future risks.
  • Oversee site restoration aftercare, liaising with relevant external partners and bodies such as local councils.
  • Managing planned and reactive works including putting in place and overseeing external contractors and consultants, project managing CDM compliance
  • Work with site ecologists to ensure compliance with any ESG requirements
  • Assist and support the Environment, Health & Safety team withsite legacy issues
  • Carry out statutory inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities where relevant.
  • Emergency response in the event of incidents on site.

Working with the Estates Manager during adoptions, to:

  • Prioritise and programme works
  • Support with the testing / servicing of infrastructure, such as drainage systems and pumping stations
  • Assist with the identification of any remedial works to owned infrastructure whilst undertaking site inspections
  • Project manage low-value remedial works including setting on and managing contractors
  • Liaise with and chase up local authorities, highways authorities, housebuilders, and statutory undertakers whererequired

About You:

  • Experience in estates management and minor works oversight
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and health and safety practices
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience with brownfield sites desirable
  • NEBOSH qualification (preferred)
