Accounts Administrator - Sage 50

Location: Rotherham (commutable from Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster, and Worksop)

Salary: £30,000 + Excellent Benefits
Position Type: Office-based (5 days a week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Administrator to join a well-established and dynamic business based in Rotherham. This role offers a competitive salary of £30,000 per annum, along with an excellent benefits package. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of a growing company with over 20 years of industry experience, offering a wide range of services to its clients across various sectors.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update the company’s cash flow, checking bank accounts daily and updating weekly.
  • Input and process purchase ledger invoices, ensuring accurate coding to nominal and job costing.
  • Produce and review weekly, monthly, and annual cash flow forecasts.
  • Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations and produce reports for management approval.
  • Manage supplier statements, chase outstanding customer accounts, and oversee VAT and CIS returns.
What Experience is Required:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a financial accounting role, with expertise in Sage 50.
  • An AAT qualification or equivalent and experience in financial systems and reporting.
  • Knowledge of construction-related financial management, including job costing and VAT compliance.
