This is a Head of Operations 12 Month FTC position with an impressive food distribution company in Yorkshire. They require someone to lead the day to day operation and be a key cog in shaping the next phase of growth in their contract division.
Reporting into the Operations Director, the role will be managing the day to day operation, including the warehouse, office and transport functions, ensuring delivery of all consignments on a daily basis to customers. All commitments and liabilities are met as efficiently as possible and to the lowest cost.
They are therefore looking to appoint a talented candidate to co-ordinate all of this distribution at a long-standing operation and a new site. You must have a background in food distribution, to lead and empower the team, 'Think laterally' to challenge what is in place and drive out unnecessary costs, maximise loads for greater efficiencies and ensure collections and deliveries are managed effectively.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
* Proven track record as a Senior Operations Manager role in a food distribution company
* Proactive rather than reactive to resolve issues from arising
* Continuous Improvement skillset to take out cost and improve efficiencies
* Excellent planning and organisational skills
* Strong leader with excellent communication skills to engage effectively all stakeholders.
