Remuneration: Up to £72k per annum, dependant upon experience
Commitment: Mon-Fri 35 hours per week
We are currently seeking a Head of Procurement. This role sits within the Procurement workstream.
The external environment has changed at an unprecedented rate in recent years. Within our core sectors Altair has provided critical support to clients in helping to navigate that change, respond to new challenges and be set up successfully for the future.
The main purpose of the Head of Procurement role is to lead the service stream.
Applicants must be MCIPS qualified.
Key activities and responsibilities include:
- Work with senior leaders in Altair to an agreed business plan for the stream
- Establish the range of services, methodologies and approaches for areas of work
- Lead the delivery of Procurement services to clients, ensuring high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
- Act as the lead individual responsible for the quality and successful delivery of all projects within the Procurement stream, providing expert advice and guidance on complex issues.
- Manage individual project and product stream budgets, reporting to the Altair Board on growth, performance and activities completed within the stream
- Leading on raising the profile of the stream across the sectors in which we work identifying new business opportunities and fostering client relationships
- Manage a team of consultants and associates specialised in Procurement service delivery
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing Procurement activities, particularly in the Public Sector
- Monitor market trends and policy changes to adapt services and provide proactive solutions for clients.
- Have a strong focus on business development and marketing – working to build relationships with clients and identify new opportunities
