About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Finance Assistant to join the finance team of a £40 million income Group dedicated to achieving outstanding student results through sound financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities
The Finance Assistant will undertake a variety of administrative and financial tasks, including:
- Managing day-to-day administrative duties within the Group’s finance system
- Checking and distributing purchase orders daily
- Managing the finance and procurement mailboxes
- Responding to telephone and face-to-face enquiries efficiently
- Supporting sales ledger, purchase ledger, and procurement tasks
- Assisting with the annual audit of financial statements
- Providing general support to the Finance Manager and wider finance team as needed
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to be organised, methodical, and have excellent IT skills. You should be capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in a similar finance role or environment
- English and Maths GCSEs (grades A-C/4-9 or equivalent)
- Demonstrable IT proficiency
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting equality and diversity
