About the Role:

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Sheffield, starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage students in the fascinating world of Geography.

As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for the subject, and helping students achieve their full potential. You will join a supportive and collaborative department committed to academic excellence and personal development.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Contribute to the creation of a stimulating learning environment that encourages active participation and a passion for Geography.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training, and CPD opportunities to continually enhance your teaching practice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative resources and strategies that improve student outcomes.
  • Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and academic achievement, in line with school policies.


Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Geography or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
