GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support professional to join our school in Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping students overcome behavioural challenges and succeed in their education.

Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support:As a Behaviour Support, you will work closely with teachers, students, and parents to create a positive learning environment. Your role will be vital in supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, ensuring they can engage fully with their education.

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students facing behavioural challenges.
  • Develop and implement behaviour management plans.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to create a supportive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress and behaviour.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student behaviour.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being among students.

Requirements for Behaviour Support:

  • Experience working in a similar role or with children with behavioural needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • A proactive and positive approach to behaviour management.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or support roles are an advantage.
  • Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
