As a D&T Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will have the opportunity to work with motivated students in a well-resourced department, helping them develop practical skills and a deep understanding of design principles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching D&T, with the ability to cover a range of specialisms, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, and Textiles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Design & Technology.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share resources and best practices.
- Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and events.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A relevant degree in Design & Technology or a related subject.
- Experience teaching D&T at the secondary level (KS3 & KS4).
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education.
