About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of bookkeeping, accounting, and financial reporting for the company. Your expertise will support our Group Finance Director with timely and accurate financial information for board submissions, driving effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and accounting processes.
- Prepare and investigate various reconciliations as needed.
- Calculate and post accruals and prepayments.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage the sales and purchase ledger functions.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and monthly management information reports.
- Update the fixed asset register, review systems for efficiency, and assist in budgeting.
- Complete the year-end pack for auditors and report on debtors and creditors weekly.
- Trace errors in reports to their source to ensure accuracy.
Skills and Qualifications
- Qualified, part-qualified, or QBE candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills across email, phone, and other media.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF Statements).
- Working knowledge of SAGE Line 50 is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and adaptability.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
