- Key Duties: Teach Design Technology with a focus on Resistant Materials at Key Stage 3 and 4, foster creativity, and develop practical skills
- Hold a degree in Design Technology (specialising in Resistant Materials) and QTS (or be on track to achieve it by September 2025)
- Have a solid understanding of the Design Technology curriculum at Key Stage 3 and 4, particularly in Resistant Materials
- Be passionate about using creative approaches to teaching and developing students’ practical skills
- Have strong classroom management skills and be able to engage students of varying abilities
- ECF-based training modules: Covering pedagogy, behaviour management, curriculum design, assessment, and professional conduct
- Assigned mentor: A dedicated and experienced teacher providing regular feedback, guidance, and one-on-one support
- Observation and feedback sessions: Structured classroom observations with detailed feedback from senior staff
