The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an ECT to join a creative and forward-thinking Design Technology department. You will be responsible for teaching Design Technology with a specialism in Resistant Materials at Key Stage 3 and 4. The department is well-equipped with industry-standard tools and resources to support students in developing their skills in design, construction, and problem-solving. You will be expected to lead your own classes and inspire students to engage with hands-on learning in a supportive and creative environment.The CandidateThe ideal candidate will:

Hold a degree in Design Technology (specialising in Resistant Materials) and QTS (or be on track to achieve it by September 2025)
Have a solid understanding of the Design Technology curriculum at Key Stage 3 and 4, particularly in Resistant Materials
Be passionate about using creative approaches to teaching and developing students’ practical skills
Have strong classroom management skills and be able to engage students of varying abilities
