Your new companyDue to the partnership Hays have with Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, we are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Care Co-ordinator to join one of their services.Your new roleThe service is an extra-care assisted living service where residents live semi-independently. This is predominantly an operational role, where you will be providing practical support and guidance to the front-line care and support team through observations and supervision. In the absence of the Manager, you will be deputising to provide support to the team.This position is for 30 hours per week and shifts will be on a rolling rota basis. The rota is across weekdays and weekends, but you will only be required to work day shifts. Shifts tend to be 7am to 3pm and 2pm to 10pm, although there may be some flexibility.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this post, you will need to have a minimum of NVQ L2 in Health and Social Care and have a minimum of 2 years experience of working with vulnerable adults, adults with disabilities and adults with dementia. You will also be required to have knowledge of the care standards and CQC inspection framework. You will also need a good awareness of Extra Care Services as well as awareness of social care and housing management.What you'll get in returnYou will be paid a competitive hourly rate and have a guaranteed long-term, full-time role for 3 months, with further opportunities for permanent opportunities.
