Roles and Responsibilities:

  • SEN Teacher:

    • Plan and deliver engaging, individualized lessons for students with varying needs

    • Work collaboratively with other staff members to provide the best possible outcomes for SEN students

    • Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual learning needs

    • Assess and monitor student progress and adjust learning plans as necessary

    • Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff

    • Provide support with behavior management strategies

  • SEN Teaching Assistant:

    • Assist in the delivery of lessons and activities under the guidance of the class teacher

    • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN

    • Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

    • Support students with personal care needs if required

    • Contribute to the classroom environment, ensuring it is safe and inclusive

    • Assist with student behavior and emotional well-being

What We're Looking For:

  • A caring and empathetic approach to working with children

  • Experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential)

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • SEN Teacher role: A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or equivalent)

  • SEN Teaching Assistant role: A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent)

  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude toward challenges

  • Commitment to helping students achieve their full potential
