Project-based Office Manager/Document Controller required to join the construction team on a 40 week interior fit-out project on a business park close to the M27 (junction 8/9) in Southampton.
This position will entail supporting a 25 staff-strong project team, reporting to the lead Project Manager and liaising with the site based surveyors, site managers, contracts manager to ensure all documents are up to date and accessible (site files, H&S files, programmes, site drawings etc). You will also attend site/project meetings along with the Project Manager.
This will be a fast-paced role with many different aspects to the working day, you will need to be flexible and adaptable to the workings of a construction-office environment. A construction site administration backround is essential (not necessarily interior fit-out).
This established interior fit-out contractor use an in-house document control system which is similar to other software within construction - training will be provided in the use of this system.
The successful candidate can be employed on a freelance or fixed-term contract basis - the start date is during May 2025, with scope to start sooner if the right candidate is available to join the team over the coming weeks.
Salary/rate is negotiable based upon experience.
