The School and Role

ABC Teachers is actively seeking a motivated and adaptable Day-to-Day Cover Supervisor to support a range of secondary schools across Hall Green. This position is ideal for individuals with a keen interest in education and a desire to gain valuable experience within diverse classroom environments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classes in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, ensuring continuity of learning
  • Support students in their work and manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Work across a range of subjects and year groups, adapting to the needs of each school

 

Requirements

The successful Cover Supervisor will have;

  • A strong understanding of the UK secondary school curriculum
  • Previous experience in an educational setting, preferably as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Flexibility to travel within the Hall Green area and work in various schools
  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
