Credit Controller | Royston | Up to 25,000

A permanent Credit Control position has opened up, working with our client in Royston. This role will is ideal for somebody just looking to start their career in Finance, looking for the first step within a supportive team. Full training will be provided.

Your New Company

You’ll be working within a small, tight-knit team based in Royston, where you will be fully trained in their Credit Control department. Working closely with senior members of the team, you’ll need to be enthusiastic and confident and they’ll provide the rest!

Your New Role

You’ll be working as a Credit Controller and will be responsible for;

  • Supporting the collection and allocation of payments.
  • Assisting with the opening and credit checking of customer accounts.
  • Helping to resolve issues for both internal and external customers.
  • Assisting in chasing overdue payments.
  • Liaising with external representatives and managers.
  • Supporting the review and release of orders.
  • Assisting in assessing credit reports and setting appropriate credit limits.
  • Providing general support to the Credit Control Manager with various tasks as needed.

About You

  • A positive, approachable telephone manner and basic communication skills to build relationships at all levels.
  • Basic proficiency in Excel and general IT literacy.
  • Good English and basic numerical skills.
  • A meticulous approach and a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
  • Willingness to seek feedback to improve performance.
  • A positive attitude towards problem-solving and the ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and seek clarification when needed regarding priorities and deadlines.

What You Will Get in Return

You’ll be paid up to 25,000 per annum, working 9-5.30 with 1 hour for lunch. Plenty of on site parking available and an excellent opportunity within a company that offers great retention amongst their staff, and will provide full training and support.
