We are looking for a semi skilled Production Operative on behalf of our client based in Bassingbourn, just outside of Royston. They are a family run business who require a hard working and hands on individual to join their busy production team. Candidates will previously have had some exposure to using hand tools before, be good with numbers and be looking to develop their skills within a manufacturing environment. This is initially a temporary role but any workers making an excellent impression and working hard could be offered a permanent role with the company.

Duties

  • Working in a small team to complete production tasks
  • Assembly work such as building aluminium housings, insulating the housing, ensuring that everything is watertight and airtight
  • Fabrication work: folding aluminium, welding and finishing
  • Picking and packing items to go out with the orders
  • Wrapping, strapping and packaging finished goods

Ideal Candidate

  • Confident in working independently as well as in a team
  • Must be physically fit and active as this is a very hands on job
  • Had some exposure to working with hand tools such as a drill, hammer, Stanley knife previously
  • Keen eye for detail

Other details

  • 40 hour work week
  • 7am-5pm Mon-Thurs
  • 7am- 10am Fridays
  • Salary is negotiable depending on experience
