** Reed exclusive **

The company is a reputable chartered certified accountancy firm with offices across East Anglia, Hertfordshire, and London, who are enjoying success and growth, both through natural development and acquisition.

Reed Practice, the specialists in recruitment to the professional services sector whose local consultant has over 20 years’ experience, have been engaged by the senior Director to recruit for an experienced, ideally qualified, Client Manager.

This is an exciting time for the firm as they lay down their plans for the future and will propel the successful applicant in their career.

As Client Manager your role will play a key part in the firms’ continued growth and will be involved, over time, with a selection of the more commercial projects such as heading up acquisitions, and acting as the principal contact to their sister company in London where their more specialist clients are located, providing services such as

  • Year end accounts,
  • Investor reporting
  • Liaison with external auditors
  • Fund set up.

Again, only when the time is right for both you and the firm, will there be a huge opportunity to draw on your commercial expertise, to develop business in line with their strategic objectives.

Initially the Client Manager will support the Audit Director based in their Cambridge HQ, not with field work but to assist with managing the audit process such as planning, file reviews and closedown. You will also have your own portfolio to manage, where the clients receive first-class accounting and taxation services.  You will oversee the accounts and tax juniors, who prepare accounts and tax returns for your clients.

Given the importance of the Client Manager role, we are looking not just for the right skillset but aptitude, someone who stands out from the crowed and is keen to progress. You will be fully supported by the senior management and seen very much as part of the team.

Given the attractive remuneration on offer which will reflect your experience, we seek to engage in conversation with those who:

  • Hold a full professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, ICAS.
  • Proven experience of the full management a portfolio of clients within a UK accountancy practice providing audit, accounting, and tax services.
  • Have a commercial mindset and an interest in developing a company.
