Sonic Summary

LRL is seeking Mechanical Fitters to begin work in early 2025 in Cambridge, with a focus on local candidates initially.
Candidates must have a minimum of NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) and a CCNSG card to be considered for the role.
The project duration is expected to last at least 12 months, operating under a NAECI pay structure.
The salary includes a performance bonus of £3 per hour, with conditions related to timekeeping and attendance.
Ideal candidates should have mechanical fitting experience, particularly in installing pumps, valves, and pneumatics, as well as experience on heavy industrial sites.

LRL are currently looking for a Mechanical Fitters to start work early in 2025 Cambridge.

First we will look for local candidates, however we will expand as the project develops.

All of the tradesmen will need to be qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent), plus all of the above will require a CCNSG card.

The project will be for at least 12 months, and some of the details are as follows:

Rates of Pay

As per NAECI

11-Day Working Pattern

Week 1

* Monday to Thursday 10.5 hours (7am to 6pm)

* Friday to Sunday 10 hours (7am to 5.30pm)

Week 2

* Monday to Wednesday 10.5 hours (7am to 6pm)

* Thursday 6.5 hours (7am to 1.30pm)

Performance Bonus

£3 per hour - paid as follows:

* £2 paid the following week, subject to timekeeping/ HSE compliance

* £1 retained for 12 weeks, subject to consistent attendance and compliance to site rules

The ideal candidate will have experience in working with the following:

Mechanical Fitting experience
Experience installing pumps, valves, pneumatics

Essential Requirements:

CCNSG Card
Previous experience installing Mechanical Equipment on an industrial site
Experience of working on heavy industrial sites, ie power stations, refineries, steelworks etc
