About the Role

Are you passionate about driving positive change and improving manufacturing processes? Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Royston, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Quality Inspector (late shifts) to join their team.

This full time, permanent shift role is for the late shift 2pm-10pm Mon-Fri, 37.5 hour week with a shift premium of £16 per day. The role consists of ensuring conformity of parts by inspecting products in accordance with the customer drawings, Inspection reports and relevant customer specification and standards.

You will have the ability to interpret technical documentation (drawings, specifications and procedures), have a good understanding of GD & T, experience in using standard measuring equipment and have a mechanical Engineering background with previous inspection experience.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support and advise in new product inspection methods
  • Support in problem solving activities within the company’s continuous improvement program
  • Inspection of parts and associated paperwork against the applicable requirements and configuration at the relevant stages in the manufacturing process
  • Use of conventional inspection methods and in accordance with the inspection reports
  • Carry out inline process and product inspections throughout the factory
  • Raise non-conformances reports in accordance with the quality system
  • Release products direct to manufacturer within our DPRV department
  • Calibrate build and inspection tooling
  • Organise the collection and release of measuring instruments for external calibration
