Everything in the production of a print job before the machine is in action is your responsibility. 

You'll be working with the Print Operators who are about to print some of the highest quality labels that will be seen by eyes all over the world. Some of the biggest brands are trusting you and your business to produce top-notch printed labels. As a Print Assistant, you need to be on it, switched on and alert. You'll be integral in making sure the printer is set up and ready to produce the labels. 

Clean down (from the last print job), ensure that the substrates (material, ink, plates etc) are all set up and ready to go. It's a manual job, You'll be on your feet, it's graft getting the printers print ready so you can't be shy when it comes down to manual graft. This isn't transactional, not all jobs are the same so you'll have plenty of variety to keep you on your toes. It's important that you have a mind that is always looking to make improvements. This place loves new ideas so if you've spotted something that you think can be improved, or streamlined without a loss of quality, then shout up. 

Communication needs to be on point. You'll be working in one of the most impressive manufacturing facilities but when everything is on, it's pretty loud and hectic. So being a strong communicator in this role is essential. It's a technical process so if you need to know something you're not sure on, speak now and ask as once the printers are rolling, it's print time.

Whilst experience in labels is expected, you must also fit in personally. Being a decent human, delivering on what you say you're going to do is a good place to start. It won't take you long to feel at home here. 

This role is shift work. Please understand that this is how the plant operates so it isn't going to change. It's double-day shifts on a weekly rotation. 37.5 hours a week but one week you'll be 6am - 2pm nd then the next 4pm - 10pm.
