Job OutlineÂ
- Safely load and unload goods from delivery and collection vehicles.
- Operate yard machinery such as forklifts or telehandlers (with appropriate training).
- Organize stock and materials in designated storage areas.
- Prepare customer orders for dispatch or collection.
- Carry out routine yard maintenance and ensure cleanliness at all times.
- Assist with regular stock counts and inventory management.
- Inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and report any discrepancies.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety procedures.
- Offer basic support and guidance to customers, drivers, and on-site personnel.
Skills & Requirements
- Valid forklift license (preferred).
- Previous experience in a similar yard, warehouse, or logistics role. (essential)
- Strong physical fitness and ability to lift/move heavy items safely.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for stock recording and order checking.
- Good communication skills and a proactive, team-focused attitude.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
