This SEN teacher will be delivering high quality teaching and learning to students with students aged 6 to 19 with a range of complex needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD), Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD), autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other associated difficulties. Many of our students also have medical needs and sensory or physical impairments.

As their approach is tailored to help students manage sensory overload, anxiety, low self-esteem, and challenges with transitions, often reflected in their behaviour. The perfect SEN teacher will contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum and work in a non-confrontational way to ensure individual needs are met.

This SEN teacher will also set targets for each student and will assess, review, and report their progress to report back to parents and staff members. This will go hand in hand working with other members of staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The perfect SEN teacher will develop lesson plans analysing and self-reflecting on the outcomes ensuring lessons are maintaining pace, motivation, and challenges.
