A wonderful SEN School in Royston is seeking a passionate Unqualified SEN Teacher to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis (40 hours per week).

About The Role :

The school is looking for a passionate and skilled Teacher to join their education team, where they are always striving to provide the highest quality of education and outcomes for the young people in preparation for adult life.

It will be your responsibility to plan and deliver high quality teaching and learning within a meaningful and engaging curriculum that stretches and challenges all learners within your class.

Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:

  • Working knowledge of the Teacher Standards and expectations
  • Knowledge and personal experience of SEN learning particularly sensory lead curriculums
  • Positive team working, being able to contribute to our established team
  • Diligence and accuracy in assessing, reporting and recording
  • The ability to lead and direct other adults supporting within the class
  • The role may require participation in physical intervention and personal care routines

Requirements :

  • You have a genuine passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a strong belief in their potential.
  • You are patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a positive and proactive approach.
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with students, staff, and families.
  • While QTS is not required, previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or care setting is highly desirable.
