Experienced Project Manager, ideally with experience of setting up new manufacturing processes required for a sector leading company based in Rugby.

The company are experts in their field and you will be supporting on a new business venture. Therefore, they are seeking a Project Manager that can support, direct and manage a variety of tasks from Project P&L, assist with setting up manufacturing areas and processes, monitoring build stages, and working with suppliers for material costings etc. You will be ensuring that the project is planned, managed, financially controlled and that all stakeholders are involved when needed with consistent communication to all relevant parties.  There is also a Project Management element to ensure that the manufactured products are then delivered and installed correctly to the clients. Experience with MoD or customer sites requiring SC would be highly advantageous.  

This is a ‘hands on’ role and the company are looking for Project Managers who are actively managing their own projects now and not in a managerial capacity with a team doing the work.

Responsibilities of Project Manager:

  • P&L, budget and commercial responsibility of projects in line with budgets and forecasts
  • Ensure Projects are compliant with all Company Policies
  • Management of project processes and procedures to ensure high quality delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to understand contracts, so appropriate controls can be put in place
  • Define project scopes and objectives, and required parties to ensure technical feasibility and correct resource allocation

Required experience:

  • Understanding of Mechanical / Electrical Engineering desirable, but not essential
  • Proven Project Management experience with ‘cost’ management as well
  • Some experience with dealing with MoD sites / projects 
  • Ideally hold PM qualification such as Prince2
  • Proven commercial knowledge with excellent negotiation experience
